Would you say the best bowler in the world currently v the best bat?

I would say it depends on the surface ie. Johnson 1st test surface vs Steyn 2nd test performance

Steyn, Johnson, Harris, Anderson, Philander, VS Sangakarra, AB Devilliers, Clarke, Warner, Cook etc

All those chaps have performed in the past year, mind you several have also had injury lay-offs or a poor run of form.

For me Steyn/ Johnson vs Devilliers/Sangakarra

Hope im wrong but im really nervous about tonight

Aus are no chance of losing but getting 6 wickets including AB, FAF JP, even Philander can produce a Dizzy Gillespie type innings, it will not be easy when they are in an ultra defensive mode on a pitch which still isn't the worse pitch to bat on. There is a lot about THAT Adelaide test in tonight for me.

I reckon at some point Clarke will be wishing he had an extra 5-10 overs up his sleeve especially when the saffies will still be at least 150 runs shy.

If we do win I think its defiantly gives us rights to claim the tag of tests 'unofficial number one side'

yeah tend to agree, if they were boxers I would have scored this series 1 round each with Steyn retiring injured in the third round.

DeVilliers holds the key, get rid of him in the first session we should have no probs.

If he is there at lunch plenty that are capable of batting a long time with him to save the game and series.

I like Clarke's tactics with rotating the bowlers frequently. Don't let the batters get comfortable.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Test Squad for South African Tour - predictions & discussion

Postby Jim05 » Wed Mar 05, 2014 8:28 pm

Have a listen to these wanker commentators. There is no law saying you must throw it into the keepers gloves.
Next they will be complaining we aren't bowling full tosses so the ball doesnt get roughed up on the pitch
