How many No Balls get missed being called in a game. I would say S*** loads. If the umpire had picked up that the bowler is bowling No Balls then that Bowler will adjust his run up to hopefully rectify it. I think every ball should be judged. Seems unfair on the bowler to me

Whilst I agree I dont like the fact that umpires use a review to check ot out.
Every ball needs to be a checked for a no-ball or dont use it at all.
Reckon the umps are using it as a cop out and I wonder how many other no-balls are missed during play because the umps are not keeping a close eye on it anymore. They now know that it doesnt matter if they dont call one all day because if there is a dismissal it gets checked automatically.

It's cheating, it isn't rocket surgery to bowl the ball before the thick white line instead of seeing how much closer you can get, it's only a matter of cm's anyway. Dumb cricket!!

Was listening to some dreadful commentaryon ABC Radio switched it off at 4/240. Was pleasing to wake up to 7 fa.
I also thought our 3 Bowlers plus Watson all bowl pretty similiar at one stage Siddle and Harris bowling together it felt that the same stuff from both ends.

Yep.
Starc should have played for variety.

Who would he replace? Harris was good, Siddle was our best first test bowler and Pattinson wasnt going to be left out.

Patto has been disappointing so far I reckon. It's a good thing our batsmen can bowl and our bowlers can bat. :D

I know they are only fast bowlers so they have limited intellectual resources.
Here's a tip

If a batsman is batting out his crease by a foot or so it is in part to negate the swinging ball (also to reduce LBW risk) so why then dont you bowl from a foot behind the line or 2 foot or 10 foot to bring that swinging ball back into play, there is no law to say you have to get as close to the line as possible.
Bowl from the stumps for a few overs then bowl one from the line imagine the surprise of the quicker ball with no change in action or effort.
No-Ball problem fixed.

It would also leave little to no footmarks for Swann to exploit to our left handers since Clarke cant win a toss

I don't understand this no ball business either. Speaking from experience I usually only have my toes over the line and would maybe bowled a handful of front foot no balls in 10 years due to me being a twat and losing my run up

now the amazing thing is, the umps don't even check the no ball and yet they can miss clear cut edges eg. Broad in the first test

I wish when I was umpiring I just had to look at the batsmen

Why do umpires check every wicket. That was the perfect spot for rhinos foot to land. Just watch their feet. It isn't that hard
