And 5 days is going to make much difference?

I doubt any previous Australian captain would have done the same, but who cares really, this team is a shambles.

Why open Maxwell, if Cowan is injured surely Watson should open, after all thats the only place he has made any runs

Agree!

I wanna see 6 batsmen which include Smith ;) 1 wicket keeper 4 bowlers to suit conditions ideally 1 spinner 3 pacemen

It was to try and be aggressive, look at the pitch, runs are at a premium

Agree, shocking decision.

How about the ridiculous and excessive appealing by the Indians ?
Surely it's time the Umpires, match referee or the gutless ICC took steps to address this issue.
Apart from bad sportsmanship, it's basically cheating.

This Australian batting line up is a rabble.
The Australian selectors are a joke.

That was after Smith GIFTED his wicket away, not playing a shot, and worse still didn't even get his pad in the way either. Seriously NFI the selectors when come to picking a batting order.

Unfortunately batting depth is at an all time low in Australia, we are seeing Shield games struggle to get to day 4 so are we really suprised we cant last 4 days at test level.
Simply too many batters in Australia cant bat more than half a session, when someone like Silk and Cosgrove bat all day like in the shield final they are labelled slow and boring. Id give anything for an Aussie batter to make a 300 ball century at the moment
