Need time to bowl them out. No biggy if we give them the 6, but to see us fall short of bowling them out by 2 wickets would be stupid by only giving ourselves 40 overs to bowl


My point was they were always going to go for it, put more pressure on them to score at 5.5 an over rather than 4.5 and the wicket taking opportunities will open up. Obviously an aggressive field needs to support this so they wouldnt just shut up shop should they have lost an early wicket or two.

SA 9/349 declared
Klinger 93- The run machine returns.
Christian 108- Second hundred of the Shield season.
Crosthwaite 44- A solid effort from the former Kick-a-Vic.
Gale 5/81- Related to David Saker. Similar bowler.

QLD 3/350 declared
Townsend 166- Too good.
Forrest 94- Can play a bit.
Lynn 39*- A fan favorite on this forum
Aside from Cullen Bailey, all bowlers kept it tight, which is all you should expect on King William Road Oval.

SA 9/260 declared
Some sill reason saw them go for runs and force a result. Honorable intentions, shit execution.
Christian 49- Now the leading run scorer in the Shield.
Ferguson 62- batting six, might have silenced a knocker or two for now.
Crosthwaite 54- Amongst fit Shield keepers, Wade is number one, Crosthwaite is now number two.
Boyce 5/110- Shocking bowler, lucky SA were having a dip.

QLD 6/260
Burns 74- Who?
Lynn 39- Vintage Chris Lynn.
Christian 3/67- Selectors, Where art thou?

Bloody ordinary effort on our home deck once again.....ferg 62 on a road as some would call it.....hardly good enough, but it may be the start of something hopefully.

What I've been calling for, for ages is ferguson to bat at 5 or 6. He made 62 before he lost his wicket doing the team thing.
In saying that, it was similar to a one day match where he is world class. Hasn't silenced any critics just yet IMO

You will always struggle to win Matches at adelaide Oval without a decent spinner
