He seriously bowled 2 overs. I'm not sure if he did take the new ball or not as I havent gone back and ran through the commentary. But still its fund to take the piss.

Seriously I know that Hussey came on and got a wicket, but he can actually bowl a bit. Sanga probably doesnt even roll the arm over in the nets!

Sangakkara bowled the first over of the second new ball according to the commentary on Cricinfo. Amazing stuff. Was his first over of the innings too IIRC. Not like he was making it sing and was on 3/FA.

With the score nearing 400 and a massive lead I'd not have had an issue with him getting skittled first ball trying to take out a satellite. Maybe he was so dead keen not to get sucked into a big shot first ball he decided he wasn't playing a shot, no matter where the ball was......

No issue with Haddin's wicket. We lead by 237, we don't need to graft out every run we can, we need to give our bowlers time and deflate the Lankans. They won't take anything out of a late order collapse but every boundary will be like a dagger.

Kumar Sangakarra 2 overs, 0 maidens, no wicket for four runs.

Before this match he had bowled the equivalent of 11 overs in his 98 Tests.

England had some shockers in the 90s. Carl Hooper thought ranks as the most overrated all rounder in my book. Batting average 36, bowling average 49. In 102 tests!

this is the market on tattstab, given the fragile sri lankan batting in this series shouldn't australia be the favourites for the match ?
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Australia may only need 50 overs, but if we don't get to bowl another ball it'll be hard to knock them over. Would be a bitter disappointment after playing almost the perfect game so far.
