A bit of credit for the Cricket Australia website. The live stream is good value I reckon. Really fills a gap that should be filled by Fox Sports, but it's great to be able to see it and the quality is good enough. They are doing some good stuff with that and the My Cricket website as well.

Lets hope the boys grab a couple of wicket shortly. The batsman are looking pretty comfortable at the moment.

And there it is! 1/60. If we can get Hodge out early we're right in with a chance.

Thanks for the tip about the live streaming, that is bloody fantastic. Actually getting to watch the Shield, when was the last time you could do that???

And no commentary to give you the shirts!

But the game...so much for Hodge early...this could be a nasty day unless something changes fairly soon.

Then does the right thing and gets out!

HODGE gone for 61. Caught GEORGE bowled HABERFIELD.

Strange little shot from Hodge, bunting a top edge down to backward square. Looked completely dominant up to that point.

The 'G plays "There Goes My Hero" as a sendoff.

And the last vision we see of Hodge is a little dummy spit swish of the bat on the way out!

George gets Jewell for 96 LBW.

3/212. Get a couple of quick ones here and it is game on.

Good declaration. Once again the good old Redbacks hand 6 points to the opposition on a platter. Well done guys. Other states must love playing SA, we can dominate a game for 3 days, then just hand it all back with one totally benevolent declaration.

Had we batted the Vics out of this game and returned home with 2 points, having left them with nothing, it would have been a great return for 4 days work.

Merry Christmas Victoria

We have more to gain, than to lose. Good declaration. If we lost, stiff shite.

Wrong. We could have been 4 points behind, now we are 10. What we've lost is a chance at a home final.

JOKE of a declaration.
Very smart of the Victorians to win the toss and send S.A. into bat in a rain affected match knowing that they would receive a gift of a declation to set the game up.
381 off 113 overs @ 3.37 rpo.
Vics are going to CRUISE it in with 20 overs to spare.

When was the last time S.A. won a game after declaring and setting a target?

Redbacks will NEVER be any good until they get a captain thats got some idea about cricket.
FFS, this bloke thinks he can bat at 6.

So AH are you happy for us just to draw every game. I would rather us lose playing for the win than to draw every match. We will be better off in the long run. Just remember this is our 1st loss in 8 games. Only Victoria have a better record in the same period.

All over Vics by 6 wickets.

One wonders what the Vics would have done if the situation in the match had been reversed

The blokes on here that r supporting the declaration have to remember that Victoria have ROMPED the run chase by a massive 20 overs.
That means that the declaration was far too generous OR that Manou has overestimated the quality of his bowling attack OR he hasn't and that they just bowled and fielded like SSHHIITT.
Anyway u look at it S.A. DOMINATED the game for 3 days and then simply hands the ascendancy back to Vic by the way of a miscalculated declaration.
For the S.A. attack to get wickets, they rely on the oppositons batsmen taking risks BUT when the Vics only have to score @3.3 rpo, they can just bat norMALly without taking risks and score at that rate confortably.

They declared 270 behind so they obviously still wanted to try and win the game. I can guarantee that Victoria would have done the same thing.
