3 batsman had a long hit
Mike Hussey
Sir Richard Ponting
and the chosen one Shane Watson

Nobody there could get withing 200 mtrs of the players except for the media
But Mal, The Donny and Mighty Tiger got up close as we are the safooty media
Only the coach and Watto were left
This is precisely why Watto the iron man stays unjury free whilst his team-mates are falling injured around him
As Watto finished practicing
I said
" Shane make a 100 mate.""
The chosen one replied
" I will try thanks mate.""

watto doin his best to do MAL proud

13,915 today for a two day tally of 27,066. I thought there would have been 15,000, but still it's enough to surpass the Gabba first two days. Why is it that we have been in danger of losing Tests?

It is the lowest first two day attendance since Sri Lanka in 1995/96. There has only been one lower two day attendance against the West Indies, and that was the first against them in 1930/31 - 21,831.

Am i correct in saying that if we get done for a slow over rate again that Ricky Ponting will be suspended due to him being fined numerous times in the last 12 months for slow over rates?

He deserves too. The way he just wanders to the other end between overs is a disgrace. His constant whinging to the batsmen and umpires is also a disgrace.

not sure if this has been mentioned again on this thread but the only way to make australia get the message is to start making the players miss test matches. at the scheduled close of play yesterday australia were in the 79th over. that is 11 overs down on what they are meant to be which is absolutely disgraceful and in a time where test cricket is struggling to maintain interest has to be punished severely. only 85 overs got bowled in the 6.5 hours of play.

today australia were also slow. the west indies had 1 hour to bowl after they were dismissed and they bowled 15 overs in that hour (bang on schedule) they completed the 48 overs required of them for the day at 5:43 so they bowled the remaining 33 overs in 2 hours and 13 minutes which is again bang on schedule.

Seen the score? Aus 0/160 odd.

Reason? Because Gayle did stuff all. I didn't see him chat to one single bowler, change fields, do anything at all. So sure they were fast, because Gayle stood there doing nothing. Ponting and his men are slow but they're always trying to take WICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Walking out today I predicted 14.5k, close. I expected about 15k given we were always going to bat for the majority. Slightly disappointing, and the hill was quiet today.

it was good umpiring. he definitely hit it! just hot spot could not been seen as the bat was angled away from the view being shown! Definitely good umpiring and well deserved

How can anyone say he definitely hit it. we all know that cameras play tricks with angles and the like. there was no hot spot on the bat to be seen and only the one hot spot on the ball as it went to the keeper. I thought it was meant to applied for the massive howlers and IMO that was not one of them

EXACTLY RIGHT cripple

100% right jj and cripple
