Yeah absolutely so Australia need as many as possible having three fully fit frontline bowlers although there was footage this morning of Starc attempting to bowl and warming up in the news so he might be good to go?

He will be lucky to get over 130km, I reckon he’ll have one spelling in him, depends on how strong the painkillers are, he looked very uncomfortable bowling at 3qtr pace

Well he was bowling over 130 in his first over with a bit of outswing so he looks ok, I don't know about his spelling though.

Bloody auto-correct.

We’ll touch base later with a spell check

Can’t bat
Can’t set a field and is one of the worst captains I’ve seen and he gobs off to the media.

I gave my support to the following players in very recent times
Head when he couldnt make a run
Carey when his keeping was below standard
Green when I said we expect too much for an alllrounder , that 35 average bat and ball is what we should expect
Even this test when Warner was on 0 runs I stuck up for him and he makes 200

All 4 , who were out of form or under achieving at the time of the posts have all excelled

This predicting caper is great when you get em right
But when wrong, egg on my bum

Dont forget I'm the person who also said Steven Smith would never make it as a good player at test level
Ends up being a shocking post

Dont forget this longshot
Lightning Lance a lot of wickets Morris to play Test cricket

McDonald hitting Morris might get the call up in Sydney due to the pace he brings to the attack.

If we go 2-0 up I would say his inclusion becomes more likely.

That's a bit rough
They win the 92 WC if not for rain

Take a bow Cameron Green.
Coulda chucked it away with a busted finger but wanted to get Carey to his hundred.
His little celebration did it for me.
Selfless innings of the highest order
As for Alex, I knew he'd ton up for Australia.
Bet his mum and dad are chuffed to bits.

Let’s not forget that the Saffers deliberately slowed the over rate that day when bowling first in the 92 World Cup to make the most of a bullshit rule which gave the chasing team a fair advantage. A strong argument from England in particular was that if they bowled the overs on time the the rain wouldn’t have been an issue. Played roulette and lost, however that rarely gets a mention….

South Africa needed 22 off 13 before the ridiculous revised target and in that era you'd still have your money on the Poms to defend that. But then would have had to beat a red hot Pakistan in the final so can we stop the narrative about SA being robbed in that WC. They lost 3 of their 8 pool games and were 3rd seed going into the semi finals so it wasn't as though they were the best team during the tournament.

There was also the rule that if you were batting first then you strictly had until a certain time to bat your allocated overs. In this case Englands innings was cut off at 45 overs even though the game only started 10 mins late due to rain. South Africa in this case bowling first were deliberately bowling slow over rates which gave them an advantage when batting second as they knew they had 45 overs with 10 wickets to chase 253 - Compare that to England who couldn’t plan that with still 4 wickets in the shed. Some would say karma hit the Saffers head on.

Karma was Shaun Pollock not knowing how D/L worked during their own WC.
Was hilarious seeing them pad the ball back to the bowler thinking they were in front of the equation only to bow out effectively by 1 run :)
