If they have a chance presented to win they've got to have a crack. Especially with Melbourne and Sydney next which India would be happy about.
1. If they don't get a result it will be because of rain, so the bowlers wouldn't have bowled to many overs.
2. If they get more play than expected but can't push for a win they have the bowling options of Smith, Head and Labuschagne so they can rest the main bowlers. Thats not taking into fact that games can be called off early.
3. Batting again is a double edge sword. What happens if they go and bat again and McSweeney, Khawaja, Labuschagne fail early under humid skies, their confidence will be completely shot. Alternatively, if they could get some runs their confidence would grow.
