Rakheem 'Jimbo' Cornwall a 23 year old all rounder looks set to get a call up to the West Indies test side.

Nothing to amazing about that except for he will most likely the heaviest cricketer to play test cricket.

Over 6ft tall and 150kg

In a major shock for South African cricket, Kyle Abbott and Rilee Rossouw will no longer be considered for national selection.

South African pair Kyle Abbott and Rilee Rossouw have turned their backs on the Proteas by signing with England county club Hampshire.

Abbott has signed a four-year deal while Rossouw will be in Southampton for the next three seasons as Kolpak-registered players, which makes them ineligible to represent South Africa at international level.

Reckon this is a blow for South Africa. Rossouw is handy, especially in one dayers, but I rate Abbott extremely highly.

Not sure it's completely related to the quota system, but it's likely a part of the equation. I do understand what they're trying to do and any attempt to repair some of the apartheid damage is meritorious. However, you do wonder whether it's going too far to make top level sport a political environment in such a manner.

Huge blow with Abbott gone as he has now replaced Dale Steyn with it being unclear how long Steyn will be out of the game for or if he comes back at all therefore Abbott has a full run at it and has cemented his place in the test side. He has become an important part of their attack alongside Philander and Rabada.

Probably shows that he can get similar or better coin playing county cricket than for SA, and the job security is much better.

They mentioned Rossouw would make 3 times his wage playing county than South African domestic cricket
