I won't hear a bad word about Rick Darling and Rodney Hogg gave me my first match cricket bat....but yes that was an awful team with the exodus for World Series cricket

Cmon mate 100 years of Anzac. I thought that was fantastic. Heading out in the baggy green to represent your country and they play the national anthem is awesome, I love it.

They do for the next 14 sessions walk out and play.

I don't mind the anthems, but there always seems to be something else added.

Love when a young, new opening bat takes the first ball of a first innings, always think that's a real positive sign

Yep, whenever I opened it was preferred, get the nerves out of the way straight up, quite often it was a bit loose too so you could have a free swipe while the field is very attacking.

Followed by the old 'he doesn't have a middle in his bat' 'can't score infront of square' etc etc

As a tiny left handed opener between keeper and point is our 'v' lol

Pretty much, I reckon I've hit more cut shot 6's than anywhere else in my life though.

I just mentioned to the Mrs how unusual it was they had an 8/1 field. She asked if they had 8 men on the leg side. God bless her for trying  she did admit to forgetting what the other one was called

I'm seeing a Northern Ireland girl, took her to the Ireland World Cup game at AO earlier in the year.

Over still means something you score in galic football though.

Though she has found a spot in her heart to hate Eoin Morgan

She had a 50% chance of being right [emoji38]

But there is hope for Mrs Wristy.

Thank god my mum is an expert scorer of the game and my sister is an ex underage state player....our family cricket conversations are much more intelligent than the average family...

I still think one of the best cricket yarns is of a bloke who took his Mrs to a match and she was wondering why they were swapping ends every 6 balls.

He explained they always do that, it's how the game is played. "Not on TV it isn't!".....

0/68. Good start. Bit of luck but Burns looks to be settling a bit.
