All selfish bastards, all want everything to be about them, led by the King Clarke, who clearly has that trait about him. Don't forget Clarke is no longer on speaking terms with Symonds, Katich, and now Hussey. All who were supposed 'good mates' with. In saying this Clark is the only bloke able to back anything he says with consistant cricket ability.

:o why Mal, why?

Same reason why I want Norwood and South Australia to win games
Because I barrack for them

Sure theres been times when Ive not agreed with selections or the personalities of players for NW + SA + AU
But in the end I support my teams irrespective of who represents those sides

I get the feeling that several posters wanted Maxwell to not hit the last ball for the winning runs ?
As for me, if The Sleeping Giant , playing for Australia , was facing that last ball tonight, I would hope even my mate Sleepy could win the game

So they should it was a disgrace. You can get timed out as a batsman the same should apply for bowling the ball.

Totally agree with Turbo on this one and its why i hate the Sri Lankans. They have evry one believing they are the innocent party including alot of aussies. No way were the Aussies at fault here, they took well over 1and half minutes to bowl one ball, a batsman is timed out in that time.

From the time Maxwell hit the 2nd last ball for 4
to the time the last ball was delivered
took close to 2 and a half minutes

Bring on the footy.

I was at the Game and was staggered when they came off for nothing more than 2 - 3 minutes of drizzle. It had completely stopped before they had even got all the covers on and then to take about 3/4 of an hour to restart the game was a DISGRACE !!!!!!
$59 admission, Ridiculously over inflated food & drink prices and the public being stuffed around like that because of a couple of minutes of piss drizzle, i'd be surprised if crowds dont start to wane very quickly.

you guys are a joke! We've just had the Australia Day "Long weekend" and all you do is shit-can YOUR side! Who gives a **** if you don't like some players! I would hate to stand next to some of you girls at the footy, if you bag your own team like you constantly do on here!
And you reckon the players whinge & can't take it.

As MAL and Centurion have said, I cant believe some posters canning players who have been selected (rightly or wrongly in your opinion) to represent our country. You then want them to fail so you can call them spuds and laugh etc etc. You blokes arent worthy of cleaning these 'spuds' boots so, keep your fat asses sitting behind your keyboards taking pot shots while they play first class and international cricket. Very un Australian

i reckon it's very australian... it's not rite but i reckon 90% of Aussies do it...
Also why do we have to like someone cause they play for our country???? I go for the swans, but i don't like tippett, is that ok???
I'm not a Phil Hughes fan either...
But i do agree though that some people on here are very negative and a fair bit of the time it's not warranted..

Na ya cant polish a turd mate, and ive seen you already seen you defend (slightly) 'the big ticket' in the AFL threads  ive he kicks 5 in a GF im sure you will pay for abronze statue of him ;)

You dont have to like them, however you can still support them when they are representing the country/side you support and not bag them purely because you dont think they should be in the side.

i have to put a positive spin it, and if he is awesome for us, i will take back everything i said if he dominates and i will proudly say he is the best thing the swans ever did and bag all you people who said he wouldn't do anything  ;)

very good point mate in your 2nd paragraph...

Not to bring AFL into a cricket thread but I rate his massively, dont like his involvement in what has happened to my club surrounding him but on the field he has plenty of upside.

Gets a bit tiresome, but there are a couple of very unlikeable players in the Australian teams atm.

I'm not a fan of the reverse actually. Some posters pump up players when they haven't done anything.
