Yep it's a game of millimetres. Miss the LBW decision but get the NO BALL go in our favour.

Exactly, it's one for one then.

But the 'no ball' wasn't a no ball, it was the correct decision rather than one going in favour for us.

For balls hitting the stumps, yes. For balls pitching inline, no. The rule for pitching in line is an interpretation of what pitching in line means.

No. The ball pitching isn't a prediction, as it is plain to see. What they do is because the technology isn't 100%, they have allowed a margin for error. Ball hitting the stumps is a prediction, and why the ball clipping the stump is referred back to the umpires original decision.

Not a bad effort by Sri Lanka. Should bat through the day which I'm sure Australia would be disappointed in after putting them in.

I wouldn't think so, isn't the McGrath day on the 3rd day? I would think Australia would be happy to have Sri Lanka bat out the day, it almost certainly guarantees then that the Aussies will bat through to at least day 3 and the match will not be all over red rover on the 3rd day like the boxing day test..

Agree TSG, may well bat well into Day 2 showing alot more spirit than in the last test. Have a good chance of posting 350 to 400 here

I've done it again, maybe not

he took a good catch running backwards 35m to take a diving catch at the MCG

Then take the gloves off him and make him a fielder.

I was a critic of Haddin's but Wade's not doing himself any favours.
