Well the BB may be BS but it's not a Big Blunder. However, thanks to this glut of meaningless hit and giggle (where you wicket doesn't matter all that much) I have now discovered the joys of the World Darts Championships. Great Stuff and go the Wizard!

Go the Wizard of Oz.

The Poms are pathetic !!!!!

An Aussie with a broken ankle who hadn't been able to stand up and practice for 7 weeks leading imto the world champs is giving the fat gutted, beer swilling Poms a shellacking.

Dont know whose worse, the fat gutted pommie dart chuckers or the Sydney Thunder ?
Fair dinkum, they are terrible apart from gayle but that what happens when you spread the talent thinly across too many teams.

Instead of 20/20 Monday night, you can watch The Freddy Flintoff documentary
830-930
SBS 1

Also if you like darts Chris Gayle has 3 overs left to bowl against Hobart Hurricanes

10,000 at Etihad tonight for tonights BB.

This New format has CLEARLY been a BLUNDER as the splitting of Vic & NSW simply has NOT been supported by the public in those states. the other states would have got those crowds reguardless BUT the cricket paying public of NSW and VIC in particular have shown they couldn't give a stuff about this rubbish format.

They should have brought in a couple of Kiwi teams instead of four from Melbourne/Sydney.

Yeah splitting Melbourne and Sydney hasnt worked.
Maybe kiwi sides or a couple of regional sides, Canberra, Newcastle or Cairns?

Approx 12,500. Capacity 16,500 at Bellerive, so wasn't a bad turnout.

The 40 degree heat at the start of the game would have had an impact on that crowd though, people would have taken the more comfortable option of watching it on TV in the air-conditioned comfort of their home

Has merit. The ANZ Championships (Netball) has been successful for netball, I reckon T20 would have a similar effect. Only thing though is how many teams. 12 would probably be ideal (6 from each country) but would that make the competition too longwinded. You could make it 10 or the current 8 teams, but which 1-2 Australian cities would miss out on a side, which could have a disastrous effect on the competition

NZ have their own 20/20 comp on at the moment....don't think you will get a team from there that would be standard.

The travel would be a killer in such a short competition also.

Maybe a play off between the bigbash winners and the NZ comp winner could be an idea.

Merge the two competitions perhaps. Might make the comp a little more serious than it is in Australia atm
