It appears India are playing for the draw instead of chasing the series win  1/86, 50 overs left, its do-able but cant see it happening.

DRAVID LBW HARRIS
Well it should have been
Ball was hitting middle stump
Singh was bowled earlier this test, Steyn hit his off stump, but the bails didnt fall
Perhaps the umpire thought the bails wouldnt fall for this LBW decision

India were going for the draw as soon as Sehwag made 10 off 40 and they sent Dravid in at 3. Bit of a shame really, they have absolutely no hope of winning the game now. Sehwag plays naturally, Dhoni in at 3 and they can save Dravid for number 6 or 7 to save the game and leave their chances for a win open.

Dravid out nicking to 3rd slip. Reason South Africa can afford a third slip is India aren't threatening to score these runs. If India had been going at 3.5 instead of 2.1 at 1/170 Smith can't afford 3 slips. Will more than likely still be a draw, but why make it easier for the opposition and give yourself no chance to win?

IN 2/109
DREARYVID 31[112]

Hopefully Dravid now retires, been a valuable member for India, but its boring watching him bat

Bowls like an Aussie spinner ...

Any chance of the cameramen giving us more shots of the crowd now that the match should be called off ...

3/166 match drawn, disappointing end to an otherwise enthrawling battle.

With the three Tests being played as they were its fitting that one team didn't have to lose.

DRAW
IN 3/166
TENDULKAR 14*[91]
LAXMAN 32*[67]

SA take the new ball over 80
Bowl 2 overs with it
With 8 overs to go the game is mutually called off

48 LEGITIMATE BALLS REMAINING
Why call it off ?
You never ever know what can happen, especially on a 5th day deck

You might even snare 2-3 wickets
PUJARA + DHONI would not have wanted to bat, surely
OR you might even jag 8 wickets, you never ever know

Great series by India, first time they have not lost a series in SA
To be 1-0 down, and then to scrounge a drawn series was a great result
The great pity is there were only 3 tests

KALLIS 270 runs[once out] for the test, is he the best cricketer in the world currently ?
TENDULAKAR 155 runs[once out] for the test, is he currently the best in the world currently ?

In his 15th season of International cricket, Mark Boucher has got 499 catches, will likely pocket his 500th in his next Test.

Best gloveman I have seen, and truely a scrapper as a batsman... One of the most dogged, match saving batters around today...

Only just turned 34, how far will his record extend...? (like Dan Christian, I have a real woody for Bouch...)

Agree he has had a great career and is a steady batsman, but his glovework isnt great. Far from it
