India 3/296

Gambhir 149*
Laxman 54*
Tendulkar 68

India well on top. Australia cannot win from here. Hopefully we can get a few wickets early tomorrow and bat well enough to save the game.

India will never EVER dominate world cricket
Reason
On Australian pitches the batsman put thier pads on first, the next pad is the chest pad
On Indian Pitches the batsman put thier pads on first , the next pad is the shin pad

On thier own decks with little fear of chin music their batsman are almost invincible v AU
So they will always be a dominant home team v AU
If this series was played in AU we would win this series[as we did last time]

I will give an example
Mt Gambihir has made 2 tons back to back v AU
On our pitches against this attack LEE/MJ/CLARK will clean him up[might be wrong but Im confident]
MT GAMBIHIR was brilliant today he batted like Phillip Hughes

CLARK 0/29[21] kept trying whatta bowler
MJ 2 wickets
KAT 0/17[6] is underbowled in test cricket

What are we going to do with tosses in the subcont?
Winning the toss is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo big an advantage
Yet we allow captains to toss and bat first thru the luck of the call

stumps betting betfair

IN $2-14
AU $9-80
DR $2-28

It's actually kind of ridiculous how big of an advantage winning the toss is. I'm not sure whether you can do anything about it but seriously, it's getting a bit much.

i doubt australia would win teh series if it was played in australia mal- australia were very lucky to win the series last year - with a dubious win in sydney and a win in melbourne on teh back of india playing about 30 overs of cricket beofre the first test- india win was on the waca which is still teh most un-indian surface in australia.

in regards to the tosses it has been the same ever since cricket started, teh toss is always an advantage to win- look back to teh dyas of uncovered pitches in england and australia if the wicket was wet before the start of play and you lost teh toss you were basically guarenteed a loss.

teh toss is always 50/50 so there is no way around that- if it was predecided which team would bat or bowl first then pitch doctoring would take place much more effectively as the groundsmen would know what he had to do to the pitch to favour one side

I would rather Ponting and Kumble play marbles to see who wins the toss
At least then we might have a contest of skill rather than pure luck

This series we have India beating AU by a record margin 2nd test after batting first
Yet in the first test AU went within a skerrit of beating IN

I don't understand how Australia were "lucky" to win it...... Australia won the series fair and square, this is international cricket, yes there is times where luck plays a role as in a batsman is given out or not out, but i don't think you can be "lucky" winning an International Test match or series.

.
are you serious, go back and read some of the peoples post on here about the ganguly stumping claiming how detrimental that was to australia losing the last test- not only did the symonds non dismassal probably cost india 250 runs with his partnerships with the aussie tail that day, tehre was also the completely incorrect dismissal of dravid on teh last day - 2 major factors in australia winning that match

how is that relevent mal- in the 2nd test india batted first on a pretty good wicket scored 400 odd, then australia batted on exactly the wicket ond could only manage 200- the wicket hadnt deterioted at all becouse india then had no trouble batting on it in the third innings

You what

As for Australia being lucky to win   Perhaps if the Indians weren't so spineless they wouldn't have collapsed to the donkey drops of Michael Clarke. The whinging morons got themselves so worked up they talked themselves out of it mentally and fell apart at the end. It's not Australia's fault the Indians are so mentally fragile.

And we would have won it sooner hadnt India blatently cheated by having Sharma walk out to the crease with 2 left hand gloves, and waste 10 minutes of play while a right hand glove was brought out. The Indians, media and some people on here can say what they want about Australias perceived lack of sportmanship during that test, but that waas out and out cheating.

i think this test will be a draw!!!
India will bat till about 500 then australia will bat wel aswell on the Road they call a pitch, with no Hashabahn ponting will score a hundred and Hayden comes out and plays innings you dont wanna miss when he has his back against the wall

I reckon you could be right. The Aussies would know now they are basically no chance of winning so they will just bat as long as possible. They will not give India any generous declarations that's for sure. It really comes down to whether Australia are good enough to bat for long enough. I think they will be.

i hope your right, Hayden is my favourite player by far, and i am disappointed at his series so far, but i have confidence in Matty that he will bounce back and make a big contribution to the total.

India wont stop at 500, they are already 1 up in the series, we wont bowl them out under that either.

Sorry mate, I apologise for supporting MY cricket team. I'll never jump off the bandwagon no matter how ordinary I think the selectors are. The players picked give their all and you can't ask for much more than that. Feel free to suck up the Aussie blokes though, they might appreciate the release.
