Makes sense or cents for this game to go the full 4 days for the financially crippled Glenelg Football Club
A flatish deck would help get a full duration

There are 2 other games at the Gabba and the MCG
Im tipping result pitches being prepared

Glenelg decks in the past have usually been good batting decks
If the Glenelg curator has too much pride[and rightly so] , then give him annual leave
Then get Dedja and or Ambays to prepare the deck
As stupid as that sounds, it might probably be the best chance to get maximum points in this game

Reckon the Vics game is in Alice Springs? That was a road last year, reckon Trent Kelly oversees the preparation of pitch, so hopefully it is similar!

Watching replay of the winning runs Benton hit, gee we were lucky. Not far off bowling him, and then misfielded thru slips for four.

He definitely had a tendency to send down a few that looked ugly.

I'd have thought that there would be technology to have bowlers wear a sleeve (or even a few bands) on their arms that could instantly tell an umpire if the arm was straightening too much. Stamp it out once and for all with evidence that can't be denied or remodelling of actions that can't be faked.

It was common knowledge amongst first class cricketers throughout the world that Lee's action was decidedly dubious. Even the better Australian commentators such as Glenn Mitchell subtly tried to point this out but were drowned out by the happy clappers in the media.

I didn't judge Paris on still photos. As I mentioned I was watching the highlights. I thought that I was watching vision of Ian Meckiff from all of those years ago.

I'll have to have another look at Paris, but his action seemed OK when I watched him play in those ODIs for Australia against India. Bradman's gone now, so Paris should be OK

I agree that he looked OK in those ODIs. It was just yesterday when I watched him on the highlights that his action looked suspect.

I just got out my high school protractor (showing my age). Lee's arm is bent at about 30 degrees in the photo.

I personally think this 15 degree tolerance is rubbish. You might as well have a pitcher from the New York Yankees.

There was certainly at least some deliveries that lee chucked, don't reckon anyone will disagree with that.

Paris, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Reckon it would be pretty hard these days to make it through the Aussie cricketing system with a suspect action

Not sure I'd agree with that.. wasn't there a young lad that went through all the SA HP programs and he was a chucker? If SACA are happy to turn a blind eye..

Fair enough, i stand corrected. It would be hard to pick up some people, especially if they only chuck it on certain deliveries

Just measuring the angle from a photo is a very poor measure. Bend your arm slightly and rotate it. Rotate it far enough and the angle your eye sees eventually becomes 90 degrees even with a slight bend.

You referring to Tom Durham? He played A Grade at West Torrens, under age for SA and got all the way into the Australian U19 side before they realised he had a suspect action. I don't think he plays cricket any more. Very handy footballer

Think you will find he has a game or two at Langhorne Creek, stand corrected, but mates with Ben Warren.
