I'd pick Khawaja over Inglis (most overrated bloke in the country). Webster is the one I'd pick over Uzzie though...

Think it is pretty straight forward, i'd still open with Trav tho

In that case, I'll bat at 7 thanks Macca.

I've made no runs (but I'm ok in the slips), I'm over 35 (just) and (a bonus) I live in Adelaide, so CA don't need to stump up accommodation for me.

You might want to criticise the deck served up for a match where you made bugger all runs but your team won comfortably, for good measure.

He was/is always coming back in; he literally picked himself.

Then McDonald came out and said he can bat anywhere in the order which was signing the deal.

I would've thought it would take more than this to get selected, but what do I know.

I agree, I'm not sure how he "picked himself" every player generally would pick themselves.

<Note to self for after match when I get out for bugger all runs, use RB's quotation above>

seven batters (inc Carey) four front line bowlers with green to provide relief

Australia want to bat deep. **** I'd love it if we call correctly and finally give them a crack with the bat halfway through the first session on Friday a la Headingly in 1993!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

There are many answers to the Khawaja question. I'm reasonably sure that Inglis isn't one of them and the mind boggles at how many people's sisters Beau must've rooted.

You can hardly defend it from a 'you don't change a winning team' perspective given we've dropped half our bowlers.

And I'm still not convinced Head is an opener.

Other than that I think the selectors have got it right!

Best side Australia have named all series.

Most suited surface to England's style of batting.

All in all should be one of the better tests this summer.

I don't think it's the best side that we could've named but oh well, I'll just support them nevertheless.
