Melbourne was the summer of 82/83 right?
Border, badly out of form batting with Thompson, put on almost 80 for the final wicket and fell just three runs short.
Also remembered for the stupidest commercial break ever. They decided to show two ads instead of the usual one, by the time they switched back to the cricket the game was already over. Thommo edged it to slips on the first ball of a Botham over. All we saw were the celebrations live, then a replay of what'd happened during the commercial break.
