Heading to Brisbane this weekend and going to at least the Saturday. For those who know the Gabba, is there any point in buying tickets in advance for the Saturday? Would rather get at gate if there is no chance of a sell out as still undecided who is coming along that day.

He is definitely the weak link in their bowling line up

LOL at Squids!!

The Aussies should and will go after him. Should make 100's with the ball in each test match. With Ponting, Clarke and Hussey as very good players of spin I reckon they'll be licking there lips, looking forward to facing Tahir and scoring alot of runs off of him.

I am sure he will still dance around like a muppet when he gets a wicket. Even if he has gone for 150 runs.

By the time Steyn, Philander, Morkel and Kallis have been spelled, Tahir will be bowling to Siddle and Starc, and will end up with lots of tidy figures I think.

And..........

Amla is arguably the best batsman in the world today and they've got De Villiers as a keeper..not a bad bat for a wickey. Our top order is suspect and and we are playing against the world's best Test Attack. I hope you are right Jimbo but I've got a horrible feeling you couldn't be more wrong.

I may end up being horribly wrong but ive heard this kind of talk plenty of times from the Saffers and they have failed to produce.
Its ironic that the only series they have won over here was when Smith and co shut their mouth and let their cricket do the talking. Everytime they have opened their traps they have disappointed.
Quite amusing that Donald is talking their bowling up as he was one of the chief instigators of most of their past failures. We know their bowling is high quality without him ramming it home at every media interview

Beating England in England with the way they've been playing over the past few years is a hard thing to do, SA are a good cricket side. I think South Africa's current team as alot more heart than previous South African teams we've seen.

Both Amla and De Villiers are world class players, they can score all around the wickets and are prize wickets for the Aussies. If they get a decent start they can easily go on with it and get a big score, causing many headaches for the bowling team and us watching.

Agreed Jim, Smith needs to keep his mouth shut if SA are to win here. The more he says, the better for the Aussies it will be.

With Donald you only have to look as far as the 1999 world cup semi final where, as the 12th man puts it, had a brain melt and forgot how to run.

LOL. Siddle has scored an 87 in the shield. More than a few of the pure batsmen in the team.

Saffies 2-1.

Weather wise not so bad I reckon. Saturday looks a bit dodgy but I don't reckon we'll miss much play on Friday or Sunday. So if they are pulling out the covers and showing WSC Classics for hours on end tomorrow then my weather forecasting skills are good enough for me to get a gig with the BOM.
