And to think people on here were calling Hughes a hack and saying they wouldn't want Steve Smith.

These same people love Callum Ferguson. How he still gets first class games is a joke

I dont get carried away following the redbacks anymore, use to look forward to start of each season but eventually felt let down especially when we would have none or 1 player playing for the Aussies. Why Peter George hasnt got a game was just as bad as when Klinger was named 12th man at start of one day series a couple of years ago,if Peter doesnt continue to get a game i hope he moves to another state.

Bit of a tough call when you realise that in his last two Shield matches he had innings of 71 and 79.

No, it's the fact he got gifted everything early when he wasn't, and still isn't good enough to play at the elite level. Now that Hilditch is gone, so to is Steve's National duties. tf

Maybe WCP but Smith would walk into the Redbacks side and probably be the leading run scorer at seasons end.
Smith may not be international standard but still better than what we have got

Peter didn’t look in great form on Monday against TTG. It’s easy to have no idea about bowlers form and make statements like the ones above (mind you I agree with the Klinger disgraceful omission), however for 70% of the QLD innings the bowling attack got the job done. The other 30% But George isnt the answer in that situation, he is a short of a length bowler and Cutting would have taken him down and made his hundred quicker

South Australia's final three wickets lasted just 9.1 overs this morning with the Bulls needing a tick over 30 minutes to dismiss them. Queensland lead by 214 runs but have decided to bat again.

I reckon the QLD boys would have been on the piss last night today is pretty much a day off, game wrapped up, time to just put the feet up and let it happen
