I guess whether the bridge needs to be that wide or not depends on a number of things that I presume haven't been decided yet:
- will they build a large car park north of the Torrens?
- how many buses will stop north of the Torrens?
- will the tram line be extended north of the Torrens?

If all these things happen, then it may not be used much at all, keeping in mind that anyone going east of King William Road will probably still use the King William Rd bridge anyway. So I wouldn't worry too much about it, there are quite a few bigger issues...

I guess that means there are plenty of people who want the new membership?

I assume so or Ticketek are shit

How can that be though? Everything I've read here told me not to get one.
Don't tell me I've been conned by the Anti-SMA propaganda machine that is safooty.net?

So now that the sma target market of cricket members + big spending footy members have had their chance to get the most sought after tickets ever it has been revealed they have only taken up half of the available tickets

So much for this big demand

Don't hold your breath - they will want to milk every last cent out of the Ultimate registrations before giving any indication of any other packages.

I thought it was today. I got a second email from SACA (now deleted) reminding me when time was up. I had already registered and paid my $75 by then.

That was just the "exclusive" registration period for existing members. Now the general public can give their $75 donations (as per the huge ad in the paper the other day) since they allegedly only sold half the allocated registrations. These still won't sell out so there is still no point in anyone registering - you may as well get the interest on your $75 in your own bank account and wait until the full list of options are available, rather than giving them the money now and be forced into a package that may not be suitable for you when the time eventually comes.

I don't seem to feel as unhappy about all of this as this thread appears to be. But then again, there's a lot of unhappy threads on here lately.

Give me $40 mill and I will.

Maybe if some people weren't so narrow minded on this debate they wouldn't have to sheepishly apologise via PM afterwards.

Hey Hondo. ;)

You YES voters/campaigners are going to be copping it About how crap Adelaide Oval is for years to come.

So get use to it.

Yep, as evident by the landslide of responses to your recent conspiracy theory posts bumping the cobwebs off this thread that no campaign is going as well now as it did before the vote.

Maybe we really should get those "I voted no - don't blame me" T-shirts (with collars of course) printed!
