Isnt the bloke who came in for him gaining experience!

Would have thought Australian crickets number 1 bowling priority at the moment would be the establish a strong spinner to go with 3 strong pace bowlers in a balanced attack. Starc will bowl the left over overs and is not a true indication of what he can expect in the future. Lyon on the other hand could have gained a lot more against the best players of spin in the world that he can use in the future. Either way Australia will win comfortably and no one will care.

Ideally you have a left-armer and Lyon in the same side.

Surely its all dependant on pitch conditions.
If we were playing on a real spinning pitch id have no problems dropping a quick and playing 2 spinners so this isnt any differant.
BTW India are going in with 4 quicks aswell

First time since 1991 that India are playing four quicks with no spinner.

All valid points on the 4 quicks just saying I would have liked a spinner in the squad. Good luck to Starc

The WACA ground staff are trying to blame the Adelaide Strikers for their drinks on the pitch last night

I think we have seen the last test innings Dravid will play. At the age of 40 and to continue to keep getting bowled spells the end of a great career.

Heard the same when ponting continued to get out to the short ball and he is still here over 12 months later...Dravid is having a horrible tour though and will be interesting to see how he goes if he gets a gig in adelaide...

Thats the one that really annoys me.

The selectors cant pick a side with the attitude their going to win comfortably so we can afford to pick certain players because of this.

They have to treat every game on its merits and pick a side accordingly as to what will best achieve the win on the given pitch.

The great Wallpaper of India has been bowled again this series
9 runs
35 balls
Was beaten more often than an African Negro slave b4 the American Civil War

Oh well only 2 innings away from batting on the King William Road for him
