Gee, hope for a bit more application from the lads this second time around, we need Klinger to bat like he did a couple of seasons ago, and allow the strokemakers to play around his anchor.

Totally agree with the Crosthwaite call, Ludeman I rated, and was very happy he got the nod as the first choice keeper, but he clearly is not at the required level yet... I do think he can be a good player, but it is not his time yet.

How long until Dan Harris is back? He can have Blizzard's spot, and they can shuffle the batting order to accomodate...

Who takes dougalls spot? He isnt ready yet

decided to crack a new thread bays, rather than clog up the match day one... I could go on for hours...

Couldnt agree more! How do we have 4-5 first choice player were as NSW have around 25? Why do they refuse to scrap our grade cricket comp from 13 teams who struggle to make 90

Travis Birt and David Warner were look for new opportunities during the off season. God knows why we didnt throw a bit of coin at either of them.

Our bowling has been pretty good this year, I think we are a batsmen short. Realistically 300+ is a good first innings score for South Australia, it keeps you in most games regardless of the pitch.

Klinger needs to be at 3, Ferguson 4 and Cooper 5. Thats our Ponting, Clarke, Hussey at the moment. Harris obviously opens, pick your other opening bat. Christian is batting too high, if he is opening the bowling he should be batting at 7 or 8, keeper should bat above. If he is 7 we need a bowling allrounder at 8, Bailey 9, George 10, Putland 11.

We are too exposed with Klinger opening.

I know for a fact we chased Warner hard 2 seasons ago. Ended up with Blizzard so then gave up on Warner.

Thought my man O'Keefe bowled well today. For a spin bowler to go at only a touch over 1 RPO is fantastic. He really kept the pressure on and probably deserved another wicket at least

Yes Dougall isnt ready at present. But finally, when an injury occurred, atleast the put a young fella in there instead of a already tried inter stater.
Still think the side should be:
Harris
Smith
Klinger
Cooper
Ferguson
Christian
Doropolous
Crosswaithe
Bailey
George
Putland/(when injured - Sayers)

They obviously rate Christian as a first choice bowler. Thats three quicks plus Bailey and Doropolous. That batting line up is long for sure with Bailey at 9. Lyon plays when back from international duties

Delmont was a local SA lad wasn't he (ie. not initially recruited to SA from interstate)?
