and people on here saying he bats for himself and shouldnt be in the side.
overall average of 44 and a strikerate of 77.
and in 2010 19 matches at an average of 55. but yeah lets drop him

any batsman worth his salt can average 44 with a SR of 77, thats what i call batting for myself

clarke and watto have played this innings perfectly. The idiots in the crowd and on here bagging them need to learn a bit about the game and let the professionals do the job. We had to keep wickets in the shed after a solid start we couldnt loose 2-3 quick wickets and batting between overs 15-35 are very tricky with the field out etc As Mark Taylor said we would be thinking 90 odd off the last 15! i think thats the current situation is.

if we win the game it will be because the way these 1 Hve batted in the last 10-15 overs

The aussies will win because of wattos batting not clarkes slow effort

With all due respect ... bullshit.

The manscaper is on a strike rate of around 60 when 120 is required. There's tons of firepower to come.

He's just not capable of stepping up the pace because he's in atrocious form.

Just did the team a favour by getting out.

Clarke gone. Personally i would send a pinch hitter in now to make use of the power play and take some pressure of the exhausted Watson

Thanks for listening AUS coaching staff :P good move, hopefully comes off.
Smith now is your chance to show your worth, bowled decent earlier, runs here and will ease the knockers off.

Good, sensible innings by Clarke, just what was needed in that situation.

The foundation has been laid, it just needs Hussey and White to play properly now.

Clarkes batting improved as the innings went on IMO, and reason really was he just kept rotating the strike with singles and picking up the odd 2 ala Michael Bevan. However why does it take him 15-20 balls before he starts to do this?

Also sure the partnership was 103 off what 115 balls? But of those Watson scored 63 off around 58 and Clarke 36 off 57.

Clarke's just to slow for the shorter forms of the game, limited with his shot selections and is just plain dull and boring!!

Honestly no one likes him, he is in poo form, can't captain, why the eff is he still playing!

No, chasing 300 off 50 is a run a ball, not 36 off 57.
If it was a once off I don't think anybody would bother to criticise but it's every game.
Or maybe he's just unliked. ;)

Watson is set of course he is capable of scoring quicker tahn the new batsman. Its important he faced 15-20 balls to get used to the pace and not loose the 2 quick wickets

You must be the president of the clarke fan club you idiot.
If it wasnt for wattos sensational innings we would be screwed.
Watto needed some support out there and clarke is padding the spinners away for dot balls.
Give me a break clarke should not be in this side
