The kat would be the last batsmen id drop. I reckon he will be top runscorer of seried. Would like to see him bat at 3 though. Open with hughes and watto. Push ponting and clarke a spot. I know he is raw but i would like to see okeefe get a crack this season. Tubby taylor rates him very highly

Watching the Fox coverage, apparently all 5 tons he's scored have been overseas.

Katich hasnt scored over 100 in Australia for 2 years, then have to go back to 2004 to find his previous one, in fact he has only scored 3 tons in Australia out of his 10. 32 Test Innings on Australian soil for 3 tons.

I like the non selection of a certain opener in many of the teams here...Sack the Kat is gaining momentum! 8)

There was an article in the paper today about Ryan Harris coming back from a Knee injury. He's says he's hopeful of playing in the Ashes and could be an outside chance of being picked if fit.

If he was fully fit I'd pick him for the first test. Thoughts?

LOL. Nothing wrong with a grafting opener, unless you have a grafting 4,5 and 6 as well. You have scored two runs as you have missed the point. Well placed to as it was done deliberately.

Not a chance. Bolly, Johnno and Hilf all ahead of him. The only way I'd get Rhino in would be if we went with four seamers at the Gabba but I'd still go Smiffy there.

BOLLINGER
HILF
JOHNSON
SIDDLE

All ahead of Harris, even in the four seamer scenario, but agree with REB, 4 quicks is the only way he'll get a gig this summer, unless our quicks all pull a heartstring simultaneously.

Not convinced about Siddle. He's a Bichel Lite.

I think all of the listed teams are in vain anyway, what's the bet that they go with the same eleven that lost the last test in India.

Agreed knighter. I can see Steven finn (if picked) being quite dangerous in australian conditions due to his height and the bounce he will generate
