How good a player is Chanderpaul. What an absolute gun. His past year is as good as you will ever see in Test cricket.

just a shame for the west indies that his best run of form hasnt coincided with that of an in form brian lara

His ability to bat long periods of time is just amazing. in a recent series against England (i think) he batted about 20 hours over several innings without being dismissed. to do this in such a shite team (they are improving) with little support from others is an incredible effort.
Has a similar mindset to what Steve Waugh had in that they put a priceless value on their wicket EVERY innings.

yep it was against englad and he also batted for a long time against south africa when they toured there earlier this year i think

Watched his last few innings with interest, not only is he getting runs but at no time does he even really look like getting out

This bloke is a good batsmen an has some real guts. Gets almost knocked out but still toughes it out for tonne. You just cant beat that mental toughness.
