2nd new ball due soon- redbacks should be able to break the partnership and get first innings points IMO

With all due respect to Brad Hodge and his wifes illness how can he be allowed to retire hurt. Must have been an agreement between the two captains, but for him to return to the crease within a couple of hours would love to know the full story. Hope she is fine though and it was nothing to serious

Come on Redbacks get a wicket! This always happens.. one big partnership and the Vics are starting to get on top now.. if they aren't already.

Any reason why we didn't select a spinner? Adcock is the only spinner in the team at the moment and he's only bowled 4 overs.

Christian is only a part-timer though and his bowling record is extremely ordinary!

No he doesnt he bowls RAFM.
they Played no offie cos it makes adcock have to bowl which supposedly will justify his selection to all the ignorant public- yeah right

Re hodges wife- why cant he retire hurt for that reason- at least he was being honest- otherwise he could have said his 'roids had flared up - and he would have been allowed to retire hurt on those grounds

150 run partnership. Vics should cruise the rest of our game, especially when nobody in our top order can get into three figures. Manou our leading century maker!

Thank the Lord! Christian bowls Hodge!

7/272. Back in it now.

It's amazing that a batsmen can look set against quality bowlers and then a part-timer goes straight through him. It wasn't like it was a slog shot and caught on the boundary, took out leg stump!

Hodge is out at last Vics 7/271. Probably a bit late. They'll need to get the world famous magical clown out if they want the two points here and he has brained them over two days. Dodgy spinner gets Hodge out. And people reckon he should be in a baggy green LOL.
