Blues vs. Backs

Postby Rik E Boy » Sun Oct 15, 2006 10:43 am

Just about to start. SA bowling first on what looks like a bowler friendly wicket - greenish with plenty of moisture. The curator put some water into it becauase it has been dry in Sydney but was caught out by overnight rain.

With no Magill and the Backs boasting an awesome attack, I'd expect the Redbacks to win this one so Jaques the key early doors and also Haddin obviously a key wicket. Go the Blues!!

Steady start by the Blues. At drinks (13.5) NSW 1/56, Simmons the man out caugh Manou bowled Dizzy for 26. Jaques looking rusty (dropped by Cosgrove earlier) and young Christian has nearly run himself out first ball!

Small ground REB, I think NSW need 275 to be competitive.
4/151 AFTER 32 OVERS
252 would be a likely score at this stage.
SA I think will be the o/d champs this year.

Cossie made the mistake of playing for the spin !!!
Slow outfield makes it harder.
SA 1/84OF 14.5 OVERS.
Elliot just hit a six of Thornley.
NSW has a very average attack, we can still win.

TA beat QLD by 7 wickets in the Pura Cup game at the Gabba.
