I've called for Watson to be the next captain for a while and I hope he gets it. If not him, Brad Haddin is a real chance IMO

How the hell will White be the next Test captain when he's not even in the team?

IMO there is no one in the Aussie side at the moment that is capable of leading the side appart from hussey and as IF said he would be on the outer due to his age, if they were to change the captain i would like to see them give it to him untill someone really stamps there name all over it then pass it on to who ever that mat be
Were has Marbles gone and who is Satchel

I've been a staunch supporter of Clarke ever since he started his Test career, but I have to admit I'm starting to lose faith. I will never forgive him for getting out to Pietersen before stumps in Adelaide, it displayed a total lack of leadership. He doesn't seem to have been much chop since he gave his bimbo the lemon 'n' sars.

Katich would be my choice as captain, but he's injured and there's some talk he'll be out for some time. I have no freaking idea who should be captain .. perhaps they'll make me a selector.

Clarke is a poor leader HAWK and should not captain the test team IMO.
Mind you he shouldn;'t be in charge of the shorter forms either and he is but who knows what Hilditch will do.

My assessment of those possible is
-Katich too old
-Watson too many roles in the team already, so he has no chance
-Clarke most likely next captain but has no leadership skills. Potentially has a great cricket brain, big question does he know how to use it??
-Hussey too old, but would have made a great captain
-Haddin keeping captain is not a good mix as concentration on both roles will be effecected as well too old.
-Paine keeping captain is not a good mix as concentration on both roles will be effecected not sure if he is leadership material.
-White best candiate as captain which has a great cricket brain and wasn't appointed captain of victoria at young age for no reason. Problem not currently playing test cricket.
-Ponting struggling mentally for the first time and selectors are giving him average team to play with currently. Probably step down at end of series and be more a mentor role for the younger generation to allow some stability in the team.

Posible captains in the future which are not on the list are smith, ferguson, mitch marsh who show great leadership at young age already.

Fair enough Cameron White is an excellent captain, but he can't even make runs for Victoria at the moment, let alone for Australia.
He's no chance.
