I agree aside from possibly including Hussey, unfortunate but we're playing the West Indies & Pakistan this summer so need to start moving on from the old blokes which should also mean this should be the end of Stuart Clark and Brett Lee's Test careers also and no way in the world is Michael Clarke ready for the captaincy.

I would agree with your team there mate. You would have to say Watson has earnt that spot after the last 2 tests. He has batted well. Although he has not gone on to get that big score he has done well getting a few 50's.

Still I would like to add the option of have S.Clark playing instead of Hauritz. The off spinner would probably only be chosen to play say in Adelaide or Sydney.

Why would you have Katich as vice captain, don't you think age is getting the better of him, he could still be called upon for guidance without the title, vice captains are usually captains in waiting.

And a change of coach and every single selector? That's a massive change to a team structure, you would be dooming players to second guessing their spots and learning new processes instead of playing cricket. Great idea.

If New Zealand lose the next Test against Sri Lanka our test ranking will drop to 4, thats the worst it has been for 15 years. We have lost 3 of our last 5 Test series. The selectors have been a disgrace for along time now, Ponting as catain has been found out every time there is a bit of pressure on and has crumbeld as a captain. Englands team was one of there worst for some time, so how come they beat us.

Krejza and Hauritz would come into consideration for Adelaide and Sydney but i guess the first test would be at the Gabba so i wouldn't play a spinner.

dis-agree,shane warne has taken wickets there, the only way a spinner is gona get better is if we play them.gotta blood more time into krejza,he showed us sumfn against the indians,we need to persist for a while, imo could be a match winner.

Yep Shane Warne did but not many others. Neither Hauritz or Krejza are Shane Warne.

I think 4 quicks would be the best fit for the Gabba, we need to pick the four best bowlers for the conditions and if that means no spinner then so be it. North has showed he is handy enough to get some overs out of.

He may not have been but he was no where near as experienced at first class level as Hauritz and Krejza are.

We do need a quality spinner no doubt but there isn't one playing First Class cricket atm. Hopefully he comes along soon.

The spinning spot was always going to be a major issue once Warne gave it away. We can't expect to see another Warne IN OUR LIFETIME. But right now I reckon we aren't even getting a Dutchy Holland, Tim May or Ashley Mallett. We'd settle for a Greg Matthews or Ray Bright. The current crop are a disaster. I thought young kids were lining up in the nets at every club trying to bowl spin in the last ten years?
