Australia's Next Keeper

If Haddin were to go down with an injury who would you look at bringing into the test team? IMO there isn't a standout choice.

IMO Ronchi should be in the one day side ahead of Haddin. If the selectors as they say have an eye to the 2011 world cup then Ronchi should be in there now. He is a better keeper IMO and when he gets going can be a very damaging batsman in the shorter game. I know there a lot of people on this forum who aren't fans of Ronchi. When the next World Cup comes around Haddin will be 34.

Haddin is one of the best strikers of a cricket ball going around atm. Ronchi is a bit of a one hit wonder IMO. Haddin's keeping is far superior to Ronchi but i would say that Paine is the best glovemen out of the lot and his batting is coming along well. Haddin deserves the spot until the next world cup and he will do plenty for the side between now and then.

If Haddin were to be injured i would prefer to see Paine given a go as he is a far superior keeper than Ronchi and i don't think that Ronchi's batting is that good either.

Haddin till the world cup, Paine after that. If Haddin gets hurt chuck in Paine earlier. Ronchi is rank.

REB and hof are spot on here. Ronchi is a dreadful keeper and with the bat he's just a slogger who is only consitent at failing to make runs. There is a standout choice for when the time comes and it is Tim Paine as REB has said.

The best gloveman in the Country is Graham Manou by far. If his batting was a tad better/consistent he would be next over all mentioned above

Never seen Chris Hartley keep??? IMO the best glovemen going around. IMO though the next 'keeper will be Tim Paine. Not as good witht eh gloves as Hartley but a better bat which is what they are looking for.

Crostwaite is amazing he can hit boundaries from the first ball onwards[needed in 20/20]
Ronchi would be a better opener , but at 7 I would play Crostwaite in all 20/20 games

You are clearly rating them more on their batting than their keeping panther. Unfortunately this is the way thinking is going but really the number one job of a wicket keeper is to keep wickets. Ronchi and Crosthwaite are very average behind the stumps. Haddin is not exactly in good form with the gloves either to be honest but unlike those two he can actually bat.

Crosswaithe is a good ODD and 20/20 batsman, but haddin is by far the superior batsman and keeper to all three. tim paine the next aus test keeper IMO. Ronchi is not good, he can not bat that good at all, hence why he did not even open in the last 20/20 game for the warriors (they are just realising this aswell)
