Pakistan captain Younus Khan has pulled out of the forthcoming tour to New Zealand and the captaincy has been handed to Mohammad Yousuf. Player power is rumoured to be behind Younus' decision.
CricInfo reported that Younus felt he had no command over the side and requested some time away from the game.
Meanwhile, the captaincy for the Twenty20 games is in the hands of Shahid Afridi who issued a rallying call ahead of the games.
"We didn't play well in the one-day series, but it's gone, it's history, it's a new day now and tomorrow [Thursday] will be a new day too," he said.

"We're all very focused, we're the champions and we want to play like the champions."
Afridi said Pakistan would play aggressively.
While New Zealand will be without Jacob Oram, who is returning home on paternity leave, and Kyle Mills, who is injured, Afridi didn't believe in seeing the side as weaker.
"I don't think like this. They'll still be playing with 11 guys," Afridi said.
"The New Zealanders are doing well and they have confidence after winning [the ODI series] so it'll be a great game."
Vettori said New Zealand had worked on ways of beating the world Twenty20 champion.
"We're certainly up against a quality side, the world champions, but just like the one-day games, we know the plans and the plans work when we put them into place," he said.
"It's purely execution. It's not a weakness but for every batsman there's a spot where you can stop them scoring so the real onus is on our bowlers to step up and restrict Pakistan because if we get things slightly wrong then they can hurt us," Vettori said.
If younis retires from internationals could he back at the redbacks next year?
