Rumours continue to abound of a hefty argument between himself (Smith) and
selector Haroon Lorgat over the selection of Andrew Hall ahead of Andre Nel.


Nel is believed to have passed his fitness test before hearing that he had
been omitted anyway.

It is also believed that Smith was furious with Lorgat's decision after
Nel's heroics in Durban, and was backed up in his protests by coach Mickey
Arthur.

The decision paid dividends when Hall hit 56 to rescue South Africa's ailing
innings and then took two wickets, but the ramifications are sure to be felt
in the coming week and possibly beyond...

More to come from that as Nel was superb in the 1st game - 4/13 and back to
his best - and now look what Hall does - gets into a match winning world
record partnership ship - interesting selection time ahead!
