So why doesn't it work in reverse then ?
If "some" of our better bowlers have a good career move by moving interstate, why don't the batsmen who move here get recognised after having better seasons ?
All I hear is that the Adelaide Oval is a batsmans paradise, yet a spin bowler is a gun when taking wickets at the SCG.

From what I remember, Ryan Harris wanted a 2 year contract but it was declined, so he moved.

Yep, Motza had everything to do with it.

QLD approached him, he accepted the offer for more reasons that one - family up there, better pitches for his style of bowling are just two of them.

He wouldn't be playing for Australia if he were still in Adelaide because his results would not be as good.


I believe Harris wanted the SACA to match QLD's 3 year offer but they wouldn't budge from a 2 year deal and on top of that supposedly the QLD deal was for more money per season than what the SACA were offering.
