Eng. Lions vs. Australia-2 day tour match

Postby Gozu » Sat Aug 15, 2009 6:07 pm

This match starts tonight I think in Canterbury. Because it's a two day game it won't count as a first-class match. It's considered a "two-day friendly". As noted in the other thread Chris Hartley will keep to allow Haddin & Manou to recover from their injuries. Brett Lee is expected to play but the focus will probably be on Nathan Hauritz and Stuart Clark vying for selection in the 5th Test. For England the focus will be on Jonathan Trott who is expected to be called up ahead of the almost 40 year old Mark Ramprakash.
