Clinton McKay, Steve Magoffin, Mark Cameron, Dirk Nannes, Peter Siddle, Ashley Noffke, Ryan Harris. Im not sure which of those are injured at the moment so maybe there's a reason some of them weren't considered. Mark Cleary ended the season for the redbacks in pretty good touch too from what i remember, but as he plays for SA, he naturally can't be considered.

However, i reckon i could name about 30 bowlers better than Nathan Hauritz............

What is the selection criteria to get into a Australian Squad? You select players in form in the 50 over format. Exactly what Laughlin was throughout the summer.

Second most wickets in the Franger- 23 wickets @ 14.86

McKay- 12 wickets at nearly 35, good bowler but not ready.

Magoffin- Terrific year in 4 day cricket but shocking in the shorter form 4 wickets at 60.50

Cameron- has only played 2 games of 50 over cricket for the year, young and full of promise but how can he be even considered?

Nannes- 6 wickets @ 60, Quite simply not good enough.

Siddle- Is being rested for the England Tour and fair enough.

Noffke- Has been riddled by injuries, played only 4 games in the Franger this year, 12 months ago would have deserved a gig, now no.

Harris- Solid without being anything special 9 wickets @ 34.55.

So apart from Siddle i dont see how any of those players deserve to tour?

Doug Bollinger has come into the squad as cover for Brett Lee.
