Well SA captains have had an infatuation with bowling Cosgrove so he can replace Cleary.

You are right though, hard to fit him in, what a wonderful position to be in.

But who does he replace ?
HARRIS NO
KLINGER NO
FERGUSON NO
KHAN ???
SLAMCAM NO
OBREIN NO

Also he has to find a spot in front of CHRISTIAN as well

He would probably take O'Brien's place i reckon, he hasn't really dont that much.

OBEIN and COSGROVE have something in common this year
Both have not been dismissed in the Franger Cup

Was Dan Christian injured today or was he not picked for the side? I missed that somewhere...

Also, I think Cosgrove needs to be in the side, at 4.
Younus should bat three or five - he is only here half the season and Cosgrove really needs to spend time in the number 4 position to get in form, because number is the most crucial position and requires a form batsman - for the off chance we might actually make the final...

In Qld mate. Good win by the Redbacks. Unfortunately couldn't watch the game. Not the last time we've been pipped at the post by the Backs in Adelaide. Still wouldn't swap the last couple of losses for that final we won a few years back though.

I was at the game and thought it was a great effort by all.

Tait was superb and definatley kept us in the game
cleary had a bad one but everyone has one of them
cullen and obrien were good as a spin combo
wise bowled better than the first game and is improving
Klinger, harris and ferg all batted superbly. sure klinger got bogged down a bit but NSW bowled really well.
Younis got an absolute cracker and looker nervous but will be very valuable for us
Borgas batted well but paniced and threw his wicket away

All in All very good win and good that the team won under pressure and didnt "find a way to loose" as we usually do in those situations

No he didn't, he tried to hit a 6 to win the game.

If Ferg didn't have to compensate for Klinger being so slow I don't think he would have got out last night. Batted superbly and had to go for it in the power play. Klinger needs to at least pick up more singles, couldn't even get the spinners away for ones....

At least for once we weren't losing early wickets, there's nothing wrong with having an opener play some sort of anchor role, the other top order batsman were moving nicely.

It was a run a ball after he hit that six and just need a calm head and bring the game home after he set it up.... taking nothing away from his innings but he was set and you would rather have your set batsmen trying to get the run a ball total

Agreed LM Dr Harris set the pace early and klinger played the anchor. if he plays a rash shot after being boged down for a bit and gets out that anchor role is pointless.... klingers innnings was cruicial to the victory.

I think some credit should go to the NSW bowlers. They bowled full and straight especially bird(still throws it) and made it hard for us to get the runs away. Hauritz bowled flat and okeefe similar and made it tough to get consistant singles

That's probably why he hasn't set the world on fire yet, couldn't control the adrenalin after a big shot, a good batsman can hit a six then has the ability to work the next one.

And if he put it over the fence ... like he did the previous ball ... everyone would carry on about what a good shot it was. FFS people, it's hit and giggle cricket. If he played the shot in a Shield game or a Test match I'd agree, but it was the final over of a 50 over game where you expect fireworks. It's hit and giggle, stop taking it so seriously.

Can't believe people have complained about Borgas. Yes he got out, maybe he didn't need to go for such a big shot, but he doesn't hit that 6 and we don't win. Simple. He won us the game. The difference between runs required and balls remaining was getting out of hand, until that 6.

Was a very enjoyable night at the Adelaide Oval. 8)

Borgas was trying that slamCAM for about 4 overs
He finally connected twice, one went for 6 one went into a fielders hands
For goodness sake the equation is 5 runs of 4 balls, what is he + Obrien supposed to do hit 4 singles and tie the game ?

It was 5 runs off 5 balls mal. Borgas gets out makes it 5 runs off 4 balls. Regardless he won the game with that 6 so he shouldn't be copping any criticism as NFC and you have pointed out.
