If we had missed the bonus point it would have almost felt like a loss! We are going along nicely in the FRanger Cup, just a pity rain robbed us against Queensland and NSW.

Bloody eastern seaboard weather! Not like our lovely sunny weather, may end up costing us a finals spot. Regardless, if we are good enough, we will be there.

ELLIOTT 146 a new record in o/d games for SA
BOOF had it with 142 in 94/95 v TA
ELLIOTT was a gutsy performer after having his ribcage smashed early on
He needed painkillers
ELLIOTT plays this shot as well as any cricketer, the front foot flat lofted
cover drive over extra cover.
His drives in the o/d format are just so elegant
2 tons on the trot in away games an enourmous achievement
Has any batsman made 3 centuries in a row in domestic o/d cricket ?

Why does Matt make runs in the Franger Cup and not Pura Cup ????????
MINDSET
the mindset is different he attacks and dominates and also can go on for
big scores against meduim pace trundlers and dart throwing spinners.
After seeing what he does in these games I am absolutely convinced that
he should be batting middle order for the Pura Cup team.
In the Pura cup games he looks to be trying to survive rather than dominate.
P/CUP decks are usually seamier and bouncier wickets as against flatter o/d decks

ELLIOTT is a one day superstar batsman
Fingers crossed he can reproduce that in the longer form of the game[middle order pleasssse]

Well played Redbacks.

I like the idea of Elliot playing in the middle order for P/Cup games, but who would play opener?? Deitz & ??

Also, another problem would be Elliot has played most of his career as an opener and has probably had miniMAL time in the middle order....anyway he has shown he is good enough.

Hehehe Mal, that's good, but with no openers, he'd still be facing the new ball at no.5!

Who does everyone think South Australia's form spinner is at the moment?

I believe that Adcock is the best spinner we have at the moment. He is in good form with the ball. If he loses the captaincy, he could play as a spinner and we would have good batting depth.

Great win by the lads, set up by a great batting display, lets hope now they can settle down into some awesome form in both forms of the game and give the comps a bit of fright

Adcock should be our main spinner in the shield. No way D Cullen or Cullen B should be in the team.

Lets not get too carried away over Adcocks spinners, next someone will be suggesting he should be in the test side as a spinner
