Re-pot the Plant at the top of the order!!

Postby westcoastpanther » Mon Dec 17, 2007 1:02 pm

After scoring a hard earned ton against the worlds leading wicket taker the Tommy Gun then followed up with a personal best 175 in the SA second 11. This was again backed up with a grinding 125 no for the Bays where he carried his bat!!

The man loves to be at the crease. He, like Dizzy, values his wicket and when you get him out you've earned the wicket. At the moment with capitulation after capitulation,we need fighters!! This crap of games not going to 4 days needs to stop.

If the above is not good form and worthy of a recall I'll stop informing the world 'It's a beautiful day'.......

Grade crickets leading wicket taker Gary 'The Putz' Putland is also having a stellar year and can come into consideration. If he can give up the green cordial you'll see further bags for this fine left arm swing bowler.

I agree 100% with WCP his cricket knowledge is unrivalled in SA..... Plant is a trier but please dont compare his batting with dizzy.... at least he knows which way to hold the bat..... Plant is a promising golfer and is reported to be better than Scott Draper.
Putz (when off the green cordialZ)...is the variety we need and is a must inclusion at the expense of Rofe who has had his chance IMHO......
Herbie Elliot is on his last chance with me.....

Would I be right in saying WCP has knocked over TP a couple of times before? Possibly WCP's pace that did him!!

Agree tho ... Plant deserves a crack ... maybe even in the middle order just to bat time.

You blokes have no idea. The SACA should not play Plant all season, no matter how mad Tommy gets. I reckon he'd look good in a light blue cap next season.

Nah, leave Dizzy to do what Dizzy does best, score tons, I would take a huge chance here, will probably get howled down by all you experts out there, I dont think that we have anything to lose, I would throw the captaincy straight into the arms of Cosgrove, give this guy some huge responsibility, may just, yes just be the making of him, we know he has the ability, well give him something to work hard for and to acheive something, one never knows, he may well excel big time
