If the pitch for the Test is the same as it's been for domestic cricket, it will play into the Indians hands perfectly, they'd think they were back at home.

Hopefully the pitch has a bit of pace and bounce in it.

MCG curator Tony Ware has already promised to serve up a lively deck which suit the quicks.

I think the first choice will be Lee, Clark, Johnson and then it will be out of Tait and Hogg for the 4th bowling spot. Tait just needs to string some games together without falling to injury, but having said that, he does seem to comeback well when out injured which is a good sign.

Yeah, why not go with 4 quicks. The form Hogg & co are in at the moment Roy and Pup can do the same job for 15 to 20 overs a day if needed while the ball is old. Watching Tait, Lee and co give it to the sheep fanciers the other night I think they can translate it to the 5 day game if bowled in 4 over bursts.

The difference is with NZ they dont have any world class batsmen to face that type of bowling. India have Dravid and Tendulkar who will not be intimidated by pace. Not to mention Laxman as well.
