World Record looks set to go

Postby rogernumber10 » Tue Dec 11, 2007 12:02 pm

Going into today's fourth day play in the India - Pakistan test, the last line of the Pakistan scorecard of 5-369 reads
Extras (b 31, lb 25, nb 14) 70

That's just one behind the all-time record of 71 conceded by the West Indies in 1988 (against Pakistan as well) and young Kartik has obviously had a disaster behind the stumps with 31 byes already, and five wickets still to be taken.
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Interesting point, player waves the bat, bowler on 5 wickets holds the ball aloft, spose the keeper has to waive his gloves in the air and take a bow

That's probably for 5 dismissals. :)

May get close to 100 extras if Pakistan is playing for "1st innings points" only.

Three more byes are needed to break the Test innings record - 37, conceded by England vs Australia in 1934 at The Oval.
