Nel's catch

Postby rod_rooster » Sun Dec 02, 2007 9:39 pm

Who saw it? It was an absolute blinder. Took it in mid air and diving full length. Had one of his team mates right in front of him and just avoided colliding as well. Great catch.

Yeah a real classic.

Similar to McGrath's a few years back, possibly slightly better with Nel's team mate complicating things.

Very similar to McGrath's. I'd have to see McGrath's again to make a comparison but both were absolute classics.

Huge skier, and while the camera was on the ball, I was thinking that it would be no surprise if it was dropped - those balls aren't easy to take. It's more appreciative, if anyone hasn't seen it, if you see the side-on replay - the ground he covered and the dive - because the main camera was on the ball and Nel was there at the last second.

Lol. No it doesn't

In all seriousness i don't mind Nel. He carries on a lot but he's also able to have a laugh at himself and i reckon off the field he'd be quite a good bloke. Nothing wrong with being competitive.

Overrated. If he had actually judged it better it would've been average.

The vision on youtube isn't great, but it doesn't look like a catch worthy of it's own thread.
