Bevan again for the love of Ablett

And all this in the same thread where some dares to question the status of the great Alan Davidson. Alan Davidson did the hard yakka for NSW and for Australia at a time when the cupboard was bare. Time and again 'Davo' would be forced to bowl yet another spell. Read up on Davo and admire the man, a genuine legend of Australian cricket. To even mention a batsman that parries anything that is remotely short to gully in the same breath as the Lion hearted Davo is something that makes my blue blood boil.
Another to be officially slighted here is Glen McGrath. McGrath is one of the greatest bowlers this country has ever produced and certainly the greatest I have seen of his type since Dennis Lillee. The Terror Turner was indeed a terror in his day but on uncovered pictures imagine what a McGrath can do. So in with McGrath and out with Turner and there's my Blues side.
As for Mark over Steve, purlease...Mark was the 'prettier' batsman but Steve was stronger mentally. No, give me Steve anyday.
Er..carry on!
