No McGrath, no Warne, says Kirsten

SOUTH African "legend" Gary Kirsten has needled Shane Warne by claiming he will lose his aura by bowling without Glenn McGrath as a foil.

Former opener Kirsten, the most capped South African, believes plenty of Warne's 659 Test wickets have come at least partly because of the constricting line-and-length pressure of McGrath at the other end.

Kirsten, who famously blew the whistle on Australia's sledging in his 2004 autobiography, predicts South Africa's batsmen will find Warne easier to handle in the three-Test series starting this month.

"Our batsmen can play Warne out," Kirsten said.

"Previously McGrath has been at the other end and he is almost impossible to score off. Naturally batsmen have tried to go after Warne a bit because he is seen as easier to get away than McGrath.

"Not having McGrath will affect how Australia plays because he and Warne bowl so well together. Batsmen can now try to see out Warne and go after the bowler at the other end."

Does anyone else think this is a load of crap? Anyone would think that McGrath & Warne are the only bowlers that bowl for Australia!!

The stats also seem to indicate that the difference is minimal with or without McGrath to bowl with.
I bet the South African players are hoping Kirsten and other ex players keep their mouths shut.

Keep talking dip5hits, it did you a lot of good last time didn't it? LMAO at the Yarpies, bagging the best Leg spinner of all time, who was already an established Test star by the time McGrath broke through when their spin bowling options are Botha the chucker and Boje the donkey drop. Keep providing the motivation boys and remember the fact that the Yarpies have yet to defeat us in the new era..

After some lenghty experimenting in my laboratory I have discovered a new and potentially embarassing disease.

It begins with an early appointment to a position which no body else is willing to hold.It then moves on to the predecessors of the above said position, then gradually infects all the people who come into contact with these people.

The final, but most graphic of symptoms is the one which forces your mouth to open with out you realising, and halts the progress of any talent you may or may not posses.

Im going to call it "Smiths sydrome".
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!
