No- http://stats.espncricinfo.com/australia ... ype=trophy

The 29 the Redbacks made vs NSW in 2004 was not the lowest Sheffield Shield score. The lowest Sheffield Shield score is 27 by South Australia against NSW in 1955.

The 11 in that game was-
T.Plant
G.Blewett
M.Cosgrove
N.Adcock
C.Ferguson
J.Smith
G.Manou (C)
M.Cleary
D.Cullen
S.Tait
P.Rofe

Scorecard from that game- http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia/e ... 35583.html

Would hope that another low score in the Shield this year will spell the end for Chuck

You watch them win the hit and giggle and reward him with a new contract.

That was the only innings tom plant did anything. Went to school with the lad and played cricket with his younger brother. It's a shame tom let his career slip.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Not the only player to have done this for SA over the years.
Tom had a very good technique, but probably lacked scoring shots to be effective at the higher level.

Coach Darren Berry has been granted personal leave for family reasons and will step aside as coach of the West End Redbacks, with no time frame put on his return to the position. He has asked for privacy at this time.

We 100% support Chuck during this time and look forward to him returning when he feels able.

Assistant coach, Jeff Vaughn will act as care-taker coach, who will be supported by our fantastic high performance staff and our senior players.

Further to that I'm hearing our best shield bowler won't play the rest of the season due to injury. Will play out the season in Grade cricket as a batsman only.....

Would rather the Big Shrek Lawford play in front of him. Tait is not a Shield bowler anymore sadly.

Ankle I'm hearing. I suspect without knowing too much that he has an ATFL tear in his left ankle (his front foot when bowling). I personally had the same thing done last off season (but I had my right one done) and according to my surgeon it's a common injury to us 'fast' bowlers.

Redbacks coach Berry takes personal leave
cricket.com.au
Jeff Vaughan takes over as caretaker coach as Berry steps aside indefinitely

West End Redbacks coach Darren Berry will step aside for an indefinite period of time for family reasons. The South Australian Cricket Association say there is no time frame on Berry's return to the position and confirmed that assistant coach Jeff Vaughan will take on the role of caretaker coach in the interim. Berry has asked for privacy in relation to the reasons for his personal leave and the SACA has requested that his wishes be respected. "Darren has asked SACA for an extended period of personal leave and we have respected his wishes to do so,” SACA General Manager High Performance Tim Nielsen said in a statement. "There has been no time limit put on Darren’s leave and the SACA will give him as much time as he needs. "I would like to stress that Darren remains the coach of the West End Redbacks and Jeff Vaughan will step into the role in a caretaker position. "We have fantastic support staff in our High Performance department and have every confidence in our coaching team and our senior players to lead the team through the second half of the Bupa Sheffield Shield season."

Berry was at the helm of Adelaide Strikers as they finished top of the ladder after the preliminary rounds of the KFC T20 Big Bash League before their campaign was ended in the semi-finals by Sydney Sixers on Saturday night. With BBL|04 drawing to a close, Vaughan will take the reins as the Redbacks prepare for the resumption of the Sheffield Shield on February 7.

SA face a tough task to turn their season around and make the Shield final; they currently sit in fifth place on the ladder with one win from five matches.

My man Peter Nevill made the highest score by a keeper in Shield cricket. Was unbeaten on 235 when NSW declared at 9/576 leading Tassie by 239.
SOK chipped in with 99
