I ran past Adelaide Oval on the way home from work and got a glimpse inside the gates.

It looked like there was a nice crowd, was that so?

I can't remember the exact number but the crowd was something just over 4000. Not a bad atmosphere for a state game.

Edit: just checked on cricinfo - the crowd was 4358

As I read it in the paper today Cosgrove is still not allowed to play in tomorrow's Shield game. How dumb is that???

Cosgrove was a pleasant surprise weight-wise after seeing him walk out onto the oval this time last year. He was also very quick in the field and of course took that magnificent catch. Not sure whether others feel this but his attitude seems to be one of full commitment. Towards the end of his batting innings, he was very confident indeed in dealing with some of the balls bowled to him. Almost arrogant - very good.

Cleary another one for mine who was useful on the day, Cullen and of course Elliott. A very nice win.
