Interesting you say that.. how often in test cricket do you see a really defensive field? Would I bet right is saying generally only 3 or 4 out of the circle anyway - a 3rd man, fineleg and sweeper at deep cover?

I don't disagree with that, but there is definitely an element of aggressive bowling/captaincy in ODI I mean surely as a captain you don't go out with the intention to restrict a side? Obviously with test matches its a war of attrition and you need to bowl sides out, but same could be said about ODI - get on the offensive and put the opposition on the back foot and control the game?Zelezny Chucks wrote:Yes but the bowling is to the field with the intention of taking wickets in Tests, ODI's are more about restricting runs.
