Not to mention Garner, Sobers and Richards. Hacks the lot of them.

No arguements on those blokes Graham. I hope you're not suggesting they are in the same class as others mentioned in this thread?

Not at all. Just think people who insinuate we only ever get lemons when we recruit big names are a bit forgetful. I'll readily admit in the last few seasons we've not got great numbers out of our recruits but we all saw what Tasmania got out of Bevan, I certainly remember what Siddons did here when he came over so I think each of the guys we've got here have been worth the punt.

The paper mentioned we were chasing David Hussey as well, but presumably he'll sign a new 2 year contract with Victoria.

Hopefully after the completition of Blewett and Elliott's contracts, the Redbacks will have some funds in the salary cap to chase some quality players to go with some of our juniors.

Ashley Mallett and Terry Jenner were refugees from WA. Did alright!

On the other side of the coin - Denis Hickey. Very fast - but a total spinner!

Son of WA all rounder Ian - the last bloke to take 10-for in an innings in Australian first class cricket.
