Just had a 4 hour blackout with no phone battery. Knocked off work early for the second innings, missed every bowl.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Those last 5 overs was apalling.
All in all a fairly poor game by the Backs and it started so well.
After the first dozen overs I thought NSW wouldnt make 150.
But a combination of good batting by NSW in particular Maddinson and several dropped catches really hurt us.
Botha's captaincy was also very ordinary, to leave Sayers with overs left was astounding as was some of the field placements. Also the selection of Bailey was a big mistake

The selection of Bailey, draining the Redbacks system for the last 8 years has been a mistake.

Botha couldn't set a dinner table let alone a field. Last week, Boland came in to have a deep mid wicket, deep mid on, deep mid off and a sweeper before he'd even scored. Hastings was going berserk, we could've brought the field in and kept the newbie on strike.

Yesterday Richo was bowling around the wicket to left handed Maddinson, was bowling a good line just outside off and Botha has a fine leg, square leg, mid wicket, deep midwicket and mid on which left little protection on the off, No surprise when Maddinson put 2 consecutive balls to the cover fence

Well done Blueboys. Clearly the inferior side on paper in my view. A good win. Nice to see Madison finally make some runs.

I must say I like what I have seen from Sandhu so far as a OD bowler, bowls a good line and has some variation. Yet another one that could come into consideration in the coming years.
